Clariol Shine Happy Clear Shine Treatment

Follow on Bloglovin

I never knew "shine treatments" for hair, in drugstores existed until I was browsing the aisles of CVS and came across this Shine Happy treatment. I had a lot of cvs extrabucks so decided to try it on a whim without reading reviews which is pretty big for me because I normally research most of what I buy, cosmetic wise. I loved this treatment I found it made my hair slightly drier than normal but nothing that a hair mask and plenty of conditioning couldn't fix. It was simple you popped gloves on mixed two bottles and spread evenly all over your hair and waited 10-20 minutes then washed out. It was a very slight difference nothing dramatic, it looked in better condition compared to pre-treatment and photographed a lot shinier. I posted some additional photos below that tell you more about the treatment!
Overall I recommend if you need a slight improvement to your hair's shine but it's definitely not a miracle worker!

Summer Favorites

It's a smidge late seeing as it's almost september...(bold blogger). But, I said it might be worth it to tell you what products and things I've been loving this summer!

Summer Sunscreen: Recently reviewed my two favorite sunscreens by Neutrogena and La-Roche Posay here. Was reading a magazine and came across this ad. Fabulous simple advertising.

Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit: Im all about no foundation and just concealer in humid summer weather  so this kit has been working a treat. Review here. When I do wear foundation I've only been reaching for Revlon Colorstay and Laura Mercier Silk Creme.

Summer TV Show: Devious Maids. This show is made by producer Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria (from TV show Desperate Housewives). It's filling in the gap in my TV rotation that Desperate Housewives left. Check out trailer under here.

Summer Movie: The Great Gatsby, it came out in May, but is still a favorite I'd recommend you read the book before seeing the movie but you don't have to in order to watch it. Plus, the soundtrack is to die for.

Beach Reads: Haven't read this yet but downloaded it for a beach read. Sounds very interesting and many of the topics are topics we have discussed here! Might learn a new trick or two!

Covers topics:
REAL Guide to Flawless Skin includes these topics (and more):

Origins Eye Doctor Eye Moisture Care - Sephora Skincare IQ

I came across this eye cream by using the Sephora Skincare IQ. It's basically a computer in select stores that helps you find products suited to you specifically. I was actually assigned the Origins GinZing eye cream which I love and I'm considering buying but I wanted something I could use both night and day and was led to use this. It still contains the same caffeine that the ginZing cream has so it has the same brightening properties but doesn't have the pearl pigments.

It's my favorite eye cream I've used to date which is definitely something because I have tried a LOT. I will definitely be re-purchasing. It comes with a lot of product at 15 ml for an eye cream, so I won't be running out anytime soon.

Victoria's Secret Color Drama Lipstick in Wish - YSL Dupe Lingerie Pink

I think Victoria's Secret Make-up is arguably the most under-hyped make-up line I've ever seen. It's a lingerie and casual clothing powerhouse, yet you don't hear much about it's make-up.

I was passing it's under-loved make-up stand on my way to the cashier when I stopped to browse at the lipsticks, because I'm addicted to most lipsticks. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of colors and came across Wish which is the best dupe for YSL's Lingerie Pink that I've ever come across. It's a gorgeous light pink without being too out-there and definitely not as light as lingerie pink but very close. Packaging was a huge plus feels way more expensive than its 16.50$ price tag. Overall its #winning. Definitly recommend you check it out. Also fun fact all the Victorias Secret Model's wear VS Make-Up at the annual Victorias Secret Fashion Show.

 Swatches of VS Wish

Small detail but loved the victoria's secret embossing into the lipstick.

Bobbi Brown Face Touch-Up Palette

I ventured into a CCO (Cosmetics Company Outlet) whilst on a trip to outlets. I picked up this Face touch-up palette I wish Bobbi Brown didn't discontinue this product. It's literally everything you need for touching-up your make-up all in a handy palette.

It's pan comparments have a creamy foundation in Beige, Light Bisque Corrector, Beige Creamy Concealer and Pale Yellow Sheer Finish Pressed Powder. Separatly these are all still products of Bobbi Brown so I said it would be worth reviewing even if the palette is discontinued!

Neutrogena naturals Acne Cream Cleanser

I wish Neutrogena released more of their skincare out in Europe! Now that I'm back from the states the selection they have in irish pharmacies from Neutrogena is so sad! But lucky americans can purchase this range from Neutrogena. Maybe, it will grace our shores in a few months like it takes everything too..

With no harsh chemicals sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes, and phthalates it's sounding a lot like origins skincare philosophy...and the similarities don't end there. This cream cleanser is eerily similar to checks and balances by Origins. It's most definitely a drugstore dupe. Also works great with a Clarisonic. I didn't re-purchase based on the sole fact I decided to opt to try more US Neutrogena Face Washes so expect more reviews.
